The 2001 UK Filk convention
2nd ~ 4th February, Eastbourne
Another year, another convention. The 2001 UK filk convention will once again be held on the coast, in the Albany Hotel in Eastbourne, during the first weekend of February. The con committee (Mike Richards, Miki Dennis, Zander Nyrond and the Countess Axylides) are working on putting together the programme and making final arrangements (ie mushrooms and real ale) with the hotel. We'll be putting details on this web page as the programme is finalised.
(10th October 2000) PR2 is now out. If you haven't had one and should have, please get in touch!
We are intending to produce a songbook at the convention in aid of the UK Filk Fund, and are actively looking for contributions (otherwise it may be a very short songbook). Please contact us if you have any songs you want including. We don't require them to be previously unpublished and we're not going to grab any rights! As we would like it to be illustrated, we have set a deadline of 31st October 2000 for all contributions to be received, to allow both time for typesetting and illustration, otherwise the publishing process will be slow. If you want to contribute there is still time; let us know soon!
